Business Development Manager (Steel/Fabrication)

Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, and evaluate sales and marketing strategies to hit budgeted sales targets.
Conduct marketing visits at various levels, establish representative routes and areas of focus.
Gather accurate customer information, advise on stock levels and product ranges, and develop customer relations to position ourselves as a preferred supplier.
Prepare and present tenders, quotations, and proposals.
Promote positive customer service and drive sales objectives.
Motivate sales staff and drive initiatives to reach projected sales targets.
Assist the marketing department in developing efficient strategies.
Organize regular training sessions for staff and customers.

Key Competencies:

Understanding the technical, quality, and delivery requirements of each assignment to meet customer expectations.
Develop a program of management, mentoring, and training for sales staff.
Formulate effective sales policies and procedures.
Process and track progress of orders/contracts to ensure customer satisfaction efficiently.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain a robust administrative system alongside updating documentation related to tenders, quotations, client visits, and customer satisfaction reports.
Assist in the monthly closing of stock and sales figures.

Marketing Duties:

Deliver insights into market trends and strategic positioning.
Enhance the company's brand name and maintain the sales function.
Foster a cooperative working environment with the management and peers.
