Our client is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager with a technical background in electrical engineering to spearhead the expansion of their battery energy storage systems across the Southern African market.
This role is pivotal in driving customer engagement and achieving sales targets.
Gauteng Province.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical sales role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to create impactful presentations and offers. Strong sales acumen and exceptional customer interaction skills. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts. Excellent listening and communication abilities. Flexibility to travel and work variable hours, including weekends. Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Afrikaans would be beneficial. Have own vehicle to use as part of job function. DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
Experience in the renewable energy sector, especially in battery storage technologies, is a major plus. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
A Matric certificate is required. Higher education in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is highly advantageous. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify potential clients and build relationships with key decision-makers. Understand clients' technical needs and challenges through discussions. Present technical solutions clearly, addressing client concerns effectively. Gain a deep understanding of the company's products, services, and solutions. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies. Translate technical features into customer-relevant benefits. Collaborate with the team to develop customized client solutions. Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and technical documentation. Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations. Understand the company's products and technologies well. Work with engineering teams to address technical inquiries and resolve issues. Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to identify new opportunities. Analyse sales data and trends to forecast demand and adjust strategies. Contribute to product development and enhancement based on customer feedback. Continuously enhance technical knowledge and sales skills through training and self-study.
