The role will have responsibility for identifying, defining, and delivering on the wholesale mobile connectivity strategy as well as assisting Opcos with commercial modelling and negotiation during deal preparation and implementation.
Your responsibilities will include:Define and execute the Wholesale Mobile Connectivity strategy; support the Opcos in pursuing opportunities which will delivery on revenue, cost containment and efficiencies, economies of scale and business enabling targets.Continuous review and improvement of the Wholesale Mobile Connectivity portfolio which will support Opcos in driving commercial performance against business plan targets.Development of product specifications and implementation of new products and solutions.Responsibility for overall proposition quality and control throughout the product development and management lifecycle.Ensures compliance with business and technology strategies and governance.The ideal candidate for this role will have: Minimum of 4-year Engineering Technology or business-related degreeMin 8 years of relevant work experience in the ICT market.Expertise in mobile network infrastructure and commercial arrangements.Experience of complex commercial negotiations APN, FWA, MVNO, International Messaging (A2P, P2A), API monetisation and infrastructure sharing / National Roaming deals.Experience in the design and deployment of Mobile connectivity products.Experience in more than one African country will be preferred.Computer skills, including a high level of Excel commercial modelling skills, and relevant system knowledgeCore competencies, knowledge, and experienceStrategic thinker with leadership and management qualities to drive from planning though to implementation.Proven experience in Mobile Network infrastructure and connectivity products.Strong analytical and decision-making skills coupled with understanding of key risks.Background in developing and implementing innovative commercial propositions in rapid and constantly changing environments.Excellent relationship builder, with the ability to foster credibility and negotiate at a Senior Leadership level within Vodacom, Vodafone, and external partners/suppliers.We make an impact by offering:Enticing incentive programs and competitive benefit packagesRetirement funds, risk benefits, and medical aid benefitsCell phone and data benefits, advantages fibre connection discounts, and exclusive staff discounts offered in collaboration with partner companiesClosing date for Applications: 20 August 2024.
