Business Development Manager - Renewable Energy (Jhb/Cape Town)

The main task of this position as Business Development Manager (BDM) for Renewable Energy in South(ern) Africa is to facilitate the growth of Renewable Energy Services in Sub-Sahara Africa.
This position is responsible for managing services (testing, inspection and certification) or advisory projects mainly in the field of Renewable Energy in the Southern Africa region.
There will be synergies in the work environment to related Green Energy & Sustainability fields such as hydrogen and climate action projects.
In this respect, the position is responsible for managing ongoing and newly awarded projects with suitable qualifications and experiences within the local and global team.
Furthermore, this position requires experience in the industry-specific field of energy and a deep understanding of the market and policies in Southern Africa.
Based on this knowledge, relevant services will be identified, and new projects be developed.
Responsibilities: Analyze markets and provide strategic directions on how to develop new business in the field of Renewable EnergyAnalyze market sectors and prospect clients to identify best business opportunitiesOrchaster and represent internal activities in the field of Renewable EnergyCollaboration within global teamsDefine and implement the strategic plan to approach & capture client's needsRefining local Renewable Energy strategyLead consulting projects, by managing internal/external project teamReport periodically to CEO on project roll outTransfer consulting knowledge and skills to internal staffInitiate and complete proposals and presentation for new business opportunitiesGrow a team of BD / internal expertsGeneral Accountabilities Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all work, and support and comply with all organizational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.The job holder has to behave at all times in a manner consistent with all applicable local laws, Company values and Code of Ethics and to actively promote this to others as well.Take reasonable care to ensure your own and others' health and safety.
