Contract Business Systems AnalystLocation: Cape Town - Hybrid (3 days in office)Duration: 6 months contract (renewable) - South African citizens onlyDuties & ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Senior CONTRACT Business Systems Analyst with no less than 5 years of Financial Services experience, ideally from Offshore Investments or Asset Management industries.Key responsibilities include:Understanding business needs related to potential changes or transformations.Gathering, identifying, and documenting business requirements.Analyzing business and system requirements and their implications on business processes.Producing documentation and proposing improvements where appropriate.Assisting with solution design to ensure requirements are met.Engaging with business representatives to obtain input and agreement on alternative solutions.Acting as a consultant to the business on best outcomes for specific problems or initiatives.Facilitating group workshops and meetings.Managing the product development process by prioritizing requirements for implementation.Explaining technical jargon to non-technical teams.Defining scope of solutions and ensuring understanding among business users.Building relationships with key stakeholders including business owners and development teams.Liaising with other project areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues.Business process modeling and improving processes across various units.Implementing, testing, and deploying solutions to business problems.Understanding and escalating project risks.Supporting business transitions and knowledge transfer.Assisting in the continuous development of the analysis framework.Mentoring and coaching other analysts.Working in an agile team within the scrum framework.Maintaining an understanding of enterprise business initiatives and technology trends.Qualifications and ExperienceB.Com. or B.Sc. in Information Technology or Informatics (Honors/Masters advantageous)Relevant formal qualification in Business Analysis (e.g., CCBA or AdBA)At least 8 years' experience in a similar roleExperience with SQL, data management, and data analysisExperience working with offshore vendorsSystem testing experienceDesired SkillsStrong facilitation and negotiation skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solvingAttention to detailAbility to work under pressureInterpersonal skills and relationship buildingInnovative thinking and planning skills
