Purpose:To expand current acquisition and sales channels, as well as identify and develop new channels and growth opportunities outside the current online offering.Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Own and build relationships with lead providers and manage service level agreements.Business Development:Drive acquisition of new SME customers and lead generation.Represent the business in public forums, networking events, and other necessary venues as the face of the business.Identify opportunities and engage with new partners, merchants, networks, banks, or other online lending platforms to grow the client base.Manage, maintain, and develop new and existing marketing channels.Ensure consistent and quality support for all referral and business partners.Drive new and existing channel development to sustain business growth.Work with lead generation and acquisition agencies to deliver SME customer growth and engagement in line with targets.Financial Management:Regular reporting against department objectives and annual calendar.Prepare updates, reports, and presentations when requested.Market Research:Provide field-originated market intelligence and feedback regarding trends, industry needs, and customer preferences to assist in marketing and planning initiatives for new and existing accounts.Monitor relevant competitor activity and take appropriate action if required.Sales and Marketing Campaigns:Identify suitable marketing events for the area of responsibility.Evaluate all marketing campaigns in agreement with the Marketing Department.Track trends and use insights to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing campaigns.Identify measurement and reporting tools to maximise feedback and results from marketing campaigns.Manage Business Development, sales, and marketing campaigns within approved costs, quality, and timelines.Role Requirements:Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Communication, or similar.Minimum of 5 - 7+ years in business development and sales, with at least 3 years in the lending or banking industries.Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.Technical and Business Competence:Strong conceptual skills with the ability to contribute at a strategic level and integrate BD and Sales activities with operational priorities.Good experience in credit and lending, dealing with SMEs and/or business clients.Strong commercial orientation and business acumen.Ability to be adaptive within a constantly evolving environment and prioritise deliveries according to redefined "most value/simplest solution" outcomes.Skills:Strong public speaking and networking skills, especially when dealing with SMEs and/or business clients.Entrepreneurial and Commercial Thinking.Learning and Researching.Persuading and Influencing.Presenting and Communicating Information.Working with People.
