Market Development Manager

Job Description: Market Growth and Projects:                                                                           Identify new opportunities that will result in increased stainless steel usage and increased salesPromote the use of Steel and its capabilities at exhibitions, expos, marketing media and publicationsIdentify strategic publications to partner with for advertising purposesPrepare articles and adverts for the different publicationsEnsure that there is sufficient relevant educational information on stainless steelMarket Intelligence:  Conduct research, obtain and keep marketing information on existing and new applications and developments in the Stainless Steel industry.Maintain an applications data base for marketing purposes           Liaise within the company group for learning and information sharingWrite and submit reports to relevant stakeholdersLiaison/Coordinate:Liaise interdepartmentally on project related orders and for product developmentEnsure accuracy of all information on order loadingWork closely with PR department for PR related projectsKeep track of all new product and project related orders in the plant and closely monitor all projects to completionLiaise with relevant local and international associationsLiaise with relevant industry players on existing and potential projectsJob Requirements: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with Math and Science.MDP/EDP recommended.The incumbent should have 6 years' experience of the business, the product and commercial processes.The incumbent should ensure excellent customer/supplier relations through good communication skills and experience with the markets.Incumbent must be able to negotiate and recommend accurately.Incumbent must understand the process and product grades.Technical report writing will be an advantageIncumbent must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally as required
