We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in client relationship management within the unit trust, model portfolios and institutional portfolio management space. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business growth and fostering long-term client relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify new business opportunities, develop comprehensive growth strategies, maintain current clients and enhance our market presence. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement business development strategies to expand our client base and increase assets under management (AUM) in unit trusts, model portfolios and institutional portfolios.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, financial advisors, and intermediaries to under-stand their needs and provide tailored investment solutions.Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research networking and leveraging existing relationships.Present investment solutions to prospective clients, conduct product training sessions, and provide ongoing support and education to clients and partners.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to inform business strategies and maintain a competitive edge.Prepare and deliver regular reports on business development activities, client feedback, and market insights to senior management.Role Attributes:Strong communication skills – verbal and written.Strong presentation building skills.Strong knowledge of a wide range of investment systems.Strong attention to detail.The ability to sell and market.Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role.Experience in investment reporting software a plus (e.g. Morningstar Direct)Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Zoho)Market knowledgeCommunication and negotiation skillsTime management and planning skillsQualificationsBachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifi-cations (e.g., CFA, CFP) are a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or client relationship management within the unit trust/collective investment schemes sector.
