You are an excellent writer who pays strong attention to detail. Furthermore, you are highly organized in meeting set deadlines across multiple projects and come with proven networking skills.This position reports to the BD Lead.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEMinimum 3-year graduate qualification in any related field5+ years proven business development experience with at least 3 years in public sector and donor funding tenders, preferably with the World Bank, African Development Bank, FCDO, and others in a response-based environmentExperience within a business development team operating in a delivery and advisory capacityExperience and exposure to CRM systems and business development toolsExperience in developing marketing collateralProven research skills and knowledge of pricing and competitor strategy analysisProven project budgetary management skillsProficient with MS Excel and MS PowerPointKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBD Systems and Processes:Input and maintain information on business development systems and tools (e.g., CRM, opportunities portal, credentials database)Manage and maintain data for reports against targetsBid Support:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive and competitive proposalsAdvise practices on selection and approach to achieving winning bidsAdvise business on tender quality improvement and implement solutions to addressAssist in the development of expressions of interest, requests for proposals, capability statements, concept notes, etc.Analyse tender results and provide intelligence to adjust business development approachMarket Intelligence:Support the identification of new growth areas necessary to achieve long-term targetsAnalyse current market opportunities and review key clients, geographies, and strategiesSupport market intelligence research, compilation of the BD publication, and maintenance of Teams siteKeep abreast of trends in global and regional agendas and stay up to date with sector discourses and associated workMarketing:Create marketing material for business development activitiesDevelop strategically positioned business development contentSupport internal and external communications alignment with BD prioritiesPlease email CVs to Nicole Spamers:
