Business Development Lead (BDL): High Volume & Strategic Bill Issuers We are seeking a Business Development Lead to drive step growth in transaction volumes by effectively servicing existing billers and onboarding new high-volume potential billers. The ideal candidate is a disciplined and tenacious self-starter who can seamlessly switch between high-level strategy and detailed execution. Business Development Lead (BDL): High Volume & Strategic Bill IssuersJohannesburg or StellenboschKey Responsibilities:Grow transaction volumes through the effective servicing of billers under management.Source and onboard new high-volume billers.Expand transaction volumes through both retailer and digital payment networks.Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders (existing and prospective billers).Identify and develop strategic partnerships with banks, referral partners, etc.Explore innovative new solutions and collaborate across the business to drive growth.Act as the primary interface between billers/prospects and internal departments.Maintain our marketing presence in conjunction with the marketing team.Liaise internally to ensure smooth operations related to billers.Track and report key business opportunities, sales analysis and forecasts, and manage solutions and queries.Qualifications and Experience:Relevant tertiary qualification.5-8 years of experience in the payments/financial industry with referenceable sales and enterprise-level client relationship management experience.Understanding of the payments environment (retailers, digital, banking, card schemes, EFT, settlement, acquiring, etc.) is highly beneficial.Valid driver's license and the ability to travel frequently.Fluent in English; proficiency in Afrikaans is a plus.
