Position: Business Development ExecutiveDepartment: Sales & Account ManagementLocation: Kloof, Durban, KZNEmployment Type: Full-TimeReports To: General Manager Personal Underwriting & Account ManagementRole OverviewThe Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving growth in the personal lines business by managing and converting company-provided leads into new business opportunities. This role focuses on client acquisition and account management, without cold calling, as all leads are supplied by the company.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Management: Engage with provided leads, build relationships, and assess their insurance needs to offer suitable solutions.Client Acquisition: Convert leads into new business by presenting personal insurance products tailored to client needs.Account Management: Build strong client relationships, ensuring smooth onboarding and satisfaction.Product Knowledge: Stay updated on insurance products and industry trends to provide expert advice.Sales Strategy: Work with the Sales Manager to implement strategies to achieve sales targets.Reporting: Track and report on sales activities and performance.Customer Service: Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure retention.QualificationsEducation: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.Certifications: Insurance-related certifications (e.g., NQF Level 4, RE5) are advantageous.Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills with a deep understanding of personal insurance products.Personal Attributes:Detail-Oriented: High accuracy in managing data and documents.Proactive: Ability to foresee and address risks.Customer-Focused: Strong commitment to providing excellent service.Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
