Business Developer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients or partners, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure business goals align with market needs and opportunities.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Research and Analysis
Conduct research to identify new business opportunities in target markets.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Analyze market data to inform business development strategies.
Lead Generation and Sales
Identify and prospect new leads (individuals, organizations, and other businesses).
Qualify leads and develop strategies to convert them into customers or partners.
Develop and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and other terms to close deals.
Relationship Building and Networking
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
Attend industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to establish connections.
Maintain regular communication with existing clients to identify new opportunities for growth or expansion.
Strategic Planning and Business Strategy
Collaborate with senior management to define the company's long-term growth strategies.
Assist in the development and execution of the company's business plans and sales targets.
Monitor and report on progress toward business development goals and KPIs.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and other internal teams to ensure alignment between business development efforts and company goals.
Provide feedback to the product development team based on market trends and client needs.
Coordinate with marketing teams to craft targeted campaigns and messaging.
Negotiation and Deal Closure
Lead negotiations with prospective clients or partners.
Prepare and finalize contracts or agreements in coordination with legal and finance teams.
Close deals and ensure a smooth transition from prospect to active client.
Reporting and Performance Metrics
Track and report on sales activity, pipeline progress, and conversion rates.
Provide regular updates to senior management on business development performance and areas for improvement.
Meet or exceed set sales targets and performance metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (master's degree is a plus).
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
Experience in developing relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to travel for client meetings, conferences, and networking events (if applicable).
Must have a vehicle.
