Business Analyst - Supply Chain and LogisticsAbout the job Business Analyst - Supply Chain and LogisticsRole: Business Analyst (Logistics/ Supply Chain)Location: Gauteng (Sandton)Work Model: HybridLevel: Mid-SeniorJob DescriptionWe are looking for a dynamic and focused Business Analyst/Project Manager who will provide a specialist business and process analysis function whilst also performing the project manager role. The incumbent will be responsible for documenting and evaluating existing business processes, designing and implementing new business processes in support of the development of comprehensive fit-for-purpose and efficient processes to optimise business results whilst transitioning the project through the project lifecycle.Minimum RequirementsUniversity Degree in B.Eng (Industrial)3 years work experience in the Retail or Supply Chain/Logistics5 years Business Analysis/business consulting experienceExperience in Agile Methodologies is advantageousCompetency requirements and Job Specification:MS Office proficiencyKnowledge and understanding of project management principlesCommand of business analysis techniques including the application of industry-standard methodologies, techniques and use of softwareIndepth knowledge of policies, practices, processes and systemsUnderstanding of the Pepkor Lifestyle operating modelExpress and implied ethical responsibilitiesBusiness process mappingInformation processingCommunicationKnowledge and innovation managementProgramme and project managementResource ManagementInternal and external networkingKey DialsInitiate and execute Project Establishment & Initiation ActivitiesGather and document business requirementsAnalyse and document the changes required in system architectureEnsure that the solution is tested and validated against the business requirementsImplement the solution and conduct a handover to operationsManage the project through its lifecycleEffective self-management and teamworkRisk and Issue logging, including quantifying the risks and identifying an owner for each Risk, and driving the close out of the Risks and Issues that are logged.Decision logging during critical sessions and documenting the decision outcome.Minute actions identified in sessions, assigning them to individuals with commitment dates, and following up until they are closed.Prepare the steerco pack together with the PM's for our service providers, including details of project activities and communicating deliverables completed and committed to.Define the implementation date of the project with the Product owner and plan the deliverables accordingly, ensuring the Project Plan includes both development and implementation plans.Drive the quote approval and purchase order process where required.
