The Role
Purpose of the job
To help the business implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by defining the requirements of a project from stakeholders. This includes the review, assessment, and development of business processes. Provide business analysis and support of API's and client systems.
Skills and Experience
What you'll do:
Consult with clients and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and workflow processes.
Identify opportunities for improving business processes and constantly improve system's requirements.
Deliver services according to project plans and architectural and governance mechanisms to ensure overall compliance and improved service delivery.
Create business requirements analysis and design work packages for integrated (API) software components, in accordance with ICT standards.
Develop Target Business Solution Specification in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government.
Manage client expectations to ensure that IT solutions meet client needs and model Business Solution specifications in accordance with ICT standards.
Execute functional testing of software in accordance with test cases using approved testing tools.
Participate in packaging and releasing of integrated IT software components in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Local Government.
Your expertise:
5 or more years' experience in business analysis, business process management, and business process engineering/re-engineering, as well as experience in business modeling and business architecture.
Technical know-how:
Corporate Governance, ICT Governance and Compliance, Development Methodologies.
Implementation and Integration Methodologies, including Testing, Packaging, and Release.
IT Quality Management, Business Process Management, General Management, including Business, Human Resource Management, and General Financial Management.
ICT Procurement practices, IT Security, and ICT Standards, Legislative environment and IT Legislation, COTS (Commercial off the Shelf).
OSS (Open Source Software).
Project Management, Application Maintenance and Support, Hosting, and Converged Communication, Enterprise architecture framework (TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, MODAF, GWEA Framework, MIOS).
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field - NQF level 7.
