What You Will Do The Brand Manager is responsible for managing a brand of scale and driving business growth objectives through effective brand management, market research, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities • Gather market and consumer insights required for key brands.
• Apply market and competitor information to prepare short to mid-term brand objectives.
• Develop and deliver brand strategy ensuring the brand's vision and strategic imperatives are aligned to the overarching business/category strategy.
• Develop and deliver consumer-relevant brand marketing mixes (value proposition, product and packaging, communication, and promotion) that drive growth and deliver value.
• Collaborate with regional teams where marketing mixes deviate from global brand directives.
• Develop annual brand marketing plans that deliver NTS, GP, and brand contribution requirements.
• Ensure implementation of the annual brand marketing plan and its components to meet NTS, GP, and brand contribution requirements.
• Develop sustainable and meaningful brand product pipelines.
• Deliver brand NPD projects on time and in full, ensuring NTS and GP aspirations are met.
• Build effective working relationships with internal work partners (Customer, Supply Chain, Project Team, R&D, Prof Marketing, GFO, other clusters) and external work partners and agencies.
• Accountable for the financial/P&L performance of the brand (top line and bottom line).
• Accountable for the market performance of the brand.
• Acquire knowledge of the Quality Management System and ensure 100% adherence to training plan timelines, applying relevant Quality and Compliance processes and procedures.
What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications • Matric plus relevant university degree.
• 5 years of related experience in brand management, marketing, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and decision-making skills.
• Developed competencies in managing complexity, communication, presentation, and emotional intelligence.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change, coach, and transfer knowledge effectively.
• Experience in financial management, relationship building, and value chain understanding.
Desired Qualifications • Additional degrees or certifications in marketing, business administration, or related fields.
• Proficiency in multiple languages.
• Experience with specialized software or technical skills required for brand management and marketing.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and innovative solutions.
• Strong sense of urgency, intellectual curiosity, and prudent risk-taking.
• Proven track record in talent development and collaboration.
