Enhance the premium brand image and experience to promote strong customer relations and loyalty, generate new sales leads, opportunities and trends within the South African business landscape.Reporting: This position reports to the Marketing Director.Job ObjectivesManage the continuous process to build and maintain brand equity, reputation and business-aligned portfolio.Define, deploy and manage the brand framework, guide business priorities and ensure synergy in communication efforts.Perform continuous market intelligence and brand perception analysis vs aspired brand position.Apply brand governance models and principles in the full support of the Volvo Trucks Brand and Sales strategy by coordinating, guiding, and advocating all tangible and intangible marketing activities, branded areas, and creative elements, i.e., products, services, communication strategy, exhibitions, advertising, public relations, dealer support, online/print campaigns, branding, packaging, marketing, merchandise, promotional items, partners, licensing, trademarks, names, design, architecture, sites, channels and other.Drive, guide and support brand heritage preservation and standards.Promote relevant product content, news, developments, updates and events by optimizing, maintaining and updating all digital, social and PR platforms, sites and channels timeously.Manage and maintain the Volvo Trucks SA branded merchandise store and corporate clothing selection.Establish, maintain and promote conducive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including media.Manage and account for allocated marketing budget to ensure optimal utilization of resources.Continuously identify, communicate and report risk factors, to mitigate business risks and protect brand reputation.Qualification & Job ExperienceDiploma in Marketing (essential)Bachelor's degree in marketing communications (desirable)Minimum of 5-7 years practical marketing communications experience (essential)Exposure to the commercial vehicle industry and/or multinational organization (desirable)Automotive industry (essential).Business systems, practices, and processes (essential).General financial/business management principles (essential).Business acumen.Computer literacy – MS Office (intermediate level).Analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills (oral, written).Leadership skills.Presentation skills.Interpersonal skills (negotiation, influencing, conflict management).Networking skills.Creative design / editing skills (beneficial).Short listed candidates must complete and sign personal verification permission, consent and indemnity declarations, to inter alia perform reference, criminal, credit, qualification, vetting process (if applicable to position) and any other checks deemed necessary.Volvo Group Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd is an affirmative action, equal employment opportunity employer.
