RETAIL BRANCH MANAGER - PIET RETIEF To ensure the effective and efficient running of the store, to optimize profitability and staff development through effective leadership. functional outputs / Actions w To achieve set monthly targets.
w To maintain gross profit at required level.
w To plan & implement effective promotions, when required.
w To ensure that a prospect system is in place and utilized daily.
w To conduct knowledge training on an ongoing basis.
w To ensure that effective prospecting is done by all sales consultants.
w To communicate the stores performance to all staff regularly and to canvass suggestions for corrective action plans.
w To conduct regular meetings to maintain the focus on key result areas.
w To ensure training and development of staff in line with a fixed training and development plan.
w To ensure that all staff have a personal development plan.
w To maintain headcount at budgeted levels.
w To maintain harmonious relationships between employer and employees.
w To deal with grievances timeously and in accordance with company policy.
w To apply discipline for misconduct timeously and in accordance with company policy.
w To ensure the correct recruitment and selection of store personnel in respect of company policy.
w To maintain productivity levels of all staff in store.
w To ensure performance appraisals for all staff are conducted in line with company policy.

w To ensure that working conditions are in line with company policy.
w To ensure that all documentation is dealt with in terms of company policy and procedures.
w To ensure the correct management of company assets.
w To ensure that any adverse audit comments are rectified immediately.
w To ensure that the content of instructional memos/policies/procedures is distributed and understood by staff.
w To complete daily / weekly / monthly checklists accurately & timeously.

w To identify and rectify any loss areas, and ensure corrective action plans are drawn up.
w To maintain the financial model (benchmarks) for maximum profit.

w To pro - actively ensure that the company''s advertising drives are implemented effectively.
w To ensure that merchandise is displayed as per brand policy.
w To be aware of oppositions advertising & promotions.
w To ensure a complete knowledge of available products in terms of benefits, lead times, suppliers, prices, range, contact people & terms of sale.
w To ensure the highest standards of housekeeping throughout all areas of the branch.

w To be fully aware of the areas from which your store does business.
w To ensure that all credit related memos are adhered to at all times and that relevant staff is informed of the content thereof.
w To ensure that relevant credit notes are passed timeously.
w To be accountable for the overall management of debtors book.
w To ensure strict adherence to store opening and closing procedures.
w To ensure that all security systems are effectively maintained and checked regularly.
w To ensure that the correct petty cash procedures are adhered to at all times.
w To oversee that merchandise is received promptly, efficiently and accurately at all times.
w To be responsible for the overall planning of delivery of merchandise.
w To ensure that correct security procedures are adhered to at all times regarding merchandise.
w To ensure that all branch merchandise is correctly ticketed and priced.
w To maintain stock holdings at budgeted level.
w To ensure that branch stock counts are conducted as per company policy and on correct dates.
w To ensure that all staff within the branch are aware of the vision core values and core purpose.
w To monitor after delivery follow-up calls.
w To ensure that all staff are fully trained and are able to offer excellent customer service and product knowledge so as to project an effective customer orientated store image.
w Grade 12
w Retail Diploma or a degree in Sales and Marketing an advantage
w Pref.
5 years Industry related experience, Of which at least 2 years middle Management experience
w Influencing skills, negotiation skills and communication skills
w Industry and competitor and product knowledge
w Customer Relation Management
w Business acumen / insight
w Relevant legislation impacting the business
w Financial acumen
w Drive for results
