Bookkeeper

1) General Description · The bookkeeper/junior accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions and procedures. They will also assist the group accountant as an 1) Key Roles and responsibilities · Daily reconciliation of multiple bank accounts (both debit and credit transactions) · Processing supplier invoices and submitting them for payment · Reconciling month-end supplier accounts to statements · Monthly credit card and fleet card reconciliations · Processing general journals · Processing petty cash transactions and balancing to the month-end cash count · Balancing intercompany AR/AP/Loan accounts at month-end · Filing · Liaising with internal and external auditors as required · Additional administrative tasks as required when required. 1) Qualification requirements · Grade 12 (Matric) · BCom accounting degree 2) Knowledge, Skills and Experience · 3 to 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience · Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook · Excellent analytical and numerical skills · Good communication skills, both written and verbal · Deadline-orientated with high attention to detail · Must be able to work under pressure
