Senior Bookkeeper - Knysna - Western Cape Currently hiring for 2 Senior Bookkeepers to join a company in Knysna .
Job Summary: The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
The role involves recording transactions, managing accounts, and assisting with financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
Reconcile bank statements and accounts on a regular basis.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and trial balances.
Monitor cash flow and assist with budget preparation.
Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Assist in audits and provide supporting documentation as required.
Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for financial records.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Diploma/Certificate).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is an advantage.
