Bookkeeper

Our client is a unique and vibrant village with well-being at its core. We are currently looking for a bookkeeper to join their team who will be a real team player and not afraid to step in to help in other roles when and if needed. Someone with a nurturing and caring personality.

As bookkeeper you will be responsible for recording and maintaining the company's daily financial transactions as well as preparing reports for the managers.

Key Job Description:
• Responsible for recording and maintaining the daily financial transactions and completing the posting process.
• Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier's ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
• Prepare reports for the Managers.
• Debtors/Creditors.
• Bringing the books to the trial balance stage.
Skills and competencies:
• Proven bookkeeping experience with Pastel.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
