Bookkeeper

Responsibilities:Maintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifyingMaintaining subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying and allocating transactionsReconciling entries to balance subsidiary accountsMaintaining a balanced general ledgerPreparing a trial balance for the accountantsPreparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing accounting informationEnsuring compliance with federal, state and local legal requirementsAssisting in financial activities such as running debtors and creditorsBookkeeper skills required:Understanding of industry benchmarks in accounting best practicesBasic accounting knowledgeKnowledge of IFRS, U.S. GAAP or other industry-standard accounting frameworksExpertise in Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheetEstablishing accountsDeveloping standardsData entryDeep understanding of accounting principlesConfidentialityAttention to detailComfortable dealing with huge volumes of complex dataQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related disciplinePrevious bookkeeping experience preferredExperience working in a fast-paced environmentJob Type: Full-timePay: R5000,00 - R7500,00 per month
