: Bookkeeper

Process and maintain books to trial balance. Process and maintain all cashbooks daily and ensure they balance to the bank statement daily. Manage & Maintain the detailed ledger, the loan accounts, intercompany loan accounts, journals & reconciliations, monthly. Ensure Supplier & Customer Ageing balances with the trail balance. Handle the creditors function - Ensure supplier Invoice Information is captured accurately, Supplier account details are kept up to date, supplier accounts are reconciled monthly & suppliers are paid on time. Be responsible for all SARS & statutory returns & requirements. Track, trace & reconcile SARS returns & payments, Ensure SARS is paid on time. Ensure SARS compliance. Prepare information for the external accountants/auditors. Asset Register is kept up to date. All compliance documents are up to date and have not expired. All filing is kept up to date, is organised, systematic and compliant. All other functions typically required in the role of a bookkeeper and administrator. Any other task necessary for the conduct of the employers business, as the employer may from time to time direct Qualifications Applicants should have an appropriate Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping and at least 4-6 years relevant bookkeeping/ accounts experience, MS Excel and accounting software knowledge and experience. Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Experience and knowledge of SARS requirements and compliance. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience on ERPNEXT Accounting Software will be highly advantageous but not essential.
