Bookkeeper

The Role As a Junior Bookkeeper, youll support the financial operations for multiple lodges and entities, ensuring accuracy in all creditor and debtor functions. This role includes managing daily reconciliations, capturing invoices, and maintaining supplier and customer accounts. Whats in a Days Work? Creditors: Reconcile supplier invoices to Good Received Vouchers (GRVs) and cashbook daily Check VAT and GL allocation codes for accuracy Capture supplier invoices in Pastel daily Reconcile weekly and monthly supplier accounts Prepare supplier lists for scheduled payments Complete new credit applications Debtors: Provide daily support to lodges on any queries Weekly tasks: match payments from credit/bank/petty cash to reservations and checkouts, capture lodge invoices on Semper, update credit card schedules Monthly tasks: ensure reservations are invoiced correctly, perform checks, generate final reports for the Financial Manager, and meet deadlines Follow up on outstanding guest payments Other Responsibilities: Maintain petty cash control and cashbooks Assist with stock control and checks Occasionally travel to lodges for training and stock audits Requirements: Previous experience in bookkeeping, ideally in a hospitality setting Proficiency in Pastel and Excel Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple lodges financial records Willingness to travel as needed Benefits Package: Competitive salary Equal Opportunity Valor Hospitality Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
