Bookkeeper

A family owned wine estate set in the beautiful Southern wine district of Cape Town is seeking the expertise of a Bookkeeper.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience in tourism or hospitality, ability to work on Xero and across multiple entities.

Responsibilities: Generate and load Supplier invoices (Nexus, Veritas, Africa Padel, Pendocode)Import petty cash CSV file, reconcile expensesImport bank statements, reconcile bank accountsReconcile Creditors accounts, email statementsSend Debtors statements, follow up on collectionsProcess manual journalsAllocate Snapscan / Yoco / DineplanGenerate invoices on Ikentoo/Lightspeed EMP201 and VAT journalsProcess payroll, weekly wages and monthly salariesFile and archive relevant documents Attend to emails and queriesAssist with ad hoc admin where requiredLoad business creditor payments on banking platformsComplete credit applications for new suppliersReport on the monthly profitability of various entities Cost and costing management of Zoox, liaise with other departments for restaurant costingRequirements: Relevant Bookkeeping or Finance qualificationPrevious experience in the restaurant, hospitality or retail space Previous experience working on Xero, across multiple entities Please note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
