Our client is seeking a Bookkeeper who will be responsible for managing the procurement process for several SPV project companies to capture monthly expenses within set deadlines. This role includes contract cataloguing and maintaining a contract dataroom on several SPVs for projects to capture monthly expenses for all companies within set deadlines given.Responsibilities:Assist in procuring required supplier questionnaires and BBBEE certificates.Create purchase orders and purchase invoices in accounting system.Create the payment proposals.Bi-monthly draw of proof of payments and distribution to the related manager.Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct general ledger account, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.Perform partial checks of the posting process.Enter data, maintain records, and launch reports and financial statements.Assist the Accountant to generate and maintain data room for each project.Liaise with suppliers and customers for relationship management.Submission of completed documents to Accountant for review.Work closely with the rest of the Asset Management Team helping in preparing documentation for stakeholders.Assistance on audits as required.Skills:Good communication skills.Problem-solving skills.Decision-making ability.Commercial awareness.Ability to motivate others.Team working skills.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.Qualifications:Proven bookkeeping experience.Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.South African citizen is preferred.English (Read, write & speak).
