Bookkeeper

My client is seeking a detail-oriented and deadline-driven Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong financial management skills and be proficient in managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is experienced in bookkeeping and looking to grow in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in Sea Point, Cape Town. Key Responsibilities: Xero experience: Maintain and update financial records using Xero accounting software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. SARS (VAT and PAYE): Prepare and submit VAT and PAYE returns to SARS, ensuring timely and accurate filings. Problem-solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, payroll, and tax-related issues. Deadline driven: Manage multiple financial tasks, ensuring all deadlines are met (we work with tight schedules). Payroll: Process monthly payroll for employees, ensuring all payments are made accurately and on time. Qualifications and Skills: BCom Degree in accounting or finance related. 5 years proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role. Proficiency in Xero is essential. Solid understanding of VAT and PAYE regulations. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent time management and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
