Job DescriptionA dynamic accounting firm is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team. An accounting practice background with experience working on Xero and the ability to deal with multiple clients simultaneously would be ideal. This opportunity offers flexible working hours for the working mom to work on a hybrid basis, with three half days in office and two working from home. The role will include being an outsourced accountant for clients, a financial control function, and drafting financial statements.Responsibilities:Bookkeeping for multiple clients monthly.Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy.Maintain and organise financial records and documentation.Assist with month-end closing procedures and preparation of financial reports.Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely payments and collections.Assist with VAT/GST submissions and compliance, if applicable.Address discrepancies by investigating and resolving any accounting issues.Assisting with provisional tax calculations and submissions.RequirementsMatric / equivalent qualification.Bookkeeping / Accounting qualification would be very beneficial or at least 10 years' solid experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.Proven experience as a Bookkeeper.Proficiency in Xero accounting software (CaseWare/DraftWorx also beneficial, but not detrimental).SARS e-filing experience.Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial processes.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong administrative abilities.BenefitsFlexible working arrangements available to experienced employees, including working from home for two days per week, as soon as you have found your feet and can operate independently.
