Bookkeeper | Assistant To Financial Manager

Duties:

Full accounting function up to Trial Balance;
Debtors and Creditors reconciliation;
Upload of payments to Bank;
Cash book management and review;
Payroll calculations and processing;
Reconciliation of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis;
Statutory returns (EMP501/EMP201/VAT201) (preparation and submission);
Rental calculations and monthly tenant billing;
Interaction with managers at branch level.

Competencies:

Computer Literate MS Office (Excel (intermediate))
Accounting Packages (Pastel Accounting and Payroll)
SARS e-filing experience
Should be able to work independently and in a team environment
Responsible (organise/analyse/prioritise)
Prides themselves on a strong work ethic
Not a clock watcher and deadline driven
Perform under pressure
Accurate and meticulous
Resilient

Minimum Requirements:

Relevant tertiary education in accounting (a suitable degree/diploma)
Solid verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans
2 years working experience
Valid driver's licence and own transport
Must reside in the Northern Suburbs
