Boilermaker – Mining

Middelburg Mine based outside of Middelburg is seeking to employ an experienced and suitably qualified Boilermaker to join their team Process Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on boilers and associated equipment to ensure efficient operations Conduct regular inspections of pressure vessels to identify and address any defects or safety concerns Install, maintain, and repair piping systems that transport coal, water, steam, and other materials within the mine Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations to prevent accidents Conduct tests and inspections to verify the integrity and functionality of boilers and pressure vessels, making necessary adjustments or repairs Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or leaks, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks Finance Reduce cost and Waste Ensure minimal production breaks by logging electrical breakdowns timeously to effect an adequate response Reporting Provide feedback for reporting purposes Submit feedback reports on electrical faults to Plant Engineering Foreman Submit feedback on repairs to Plant Engineering Foreman report on repair and equipment needs Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including inspection reports, work orders, and equipment manuals KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Minimum skills required Minimum Qualification Preferred Qualification Grade 12 / N3 / Equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification with Mathematics and Physical Science. Trade Test Certificate: Plater/ Boilermaker or Plater/ Welder (Section 13/ 26D) Role Specific Knowledge Required Level Plant Equipment Maintenance Safety signs Health and Safety regulations Proficient Technical Skill Ability to apply Knowledge Level of Proficiency Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Fault identification and repair Fabrication and Development Proficient EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Years: 2 years Languages: Eng /well versed in South African local languages As per our clients requirements, a clear criminal history is required
