Boiler Operator (X4) – Randfontein

Job Requirements:South African citizens or permanent residents within South Africa only.Must live in the West Rand.Must have a valid driver's license.Must have own transport.Minimum Std 8.Boiler Operator Certificate.Good command of the English language.Minimum 2 years of experience operating boilers.Mechanical aptitude.Experience with coal-fired boilers and 10-ton boilers.Key Responsibilities:Blow down Mowbray 2 times a day.Log steam pressure hourly.Test water for softness and TDSs.Ensure that all water chemicals and peripheral equipment are in order and operating.Liaise closely with the cannery and growers on steam demand.Keep boilers clean and tidy at all times.Work in the workshop every 4th week (day shift).Daily grease all relevant equipment.Remove ash as and when required.Work shifts as communicated.Perform any other duties as required by the manager.Personal Attributes:Interpersonal and communication skills.Hardworking with a hands-on approach.Initiative and high levels of energy.Compensation: R7,000 - R10,000 per month, with biweekly payments of R3,500 and R5,000.
