Boiler Assistant

Location: Mossel BayQualification: Matric with MathsExperience: Minimum 2 years Technical Experience in boiler operation, utilities/service operation.Closing Date: 13 September 2024Position SummaryWith a history spanning over 150 years, Nestlé is the world's leading food and beverages brand. We are looking for a Boiler Assistant to be based in Mossel Bay.The Boiler Assistant will operate Boilers, Air compressors, and Ammonia plant to provide steam, compressed air, and chilled water for optimum operation of the manufacturing and filling operations of the factory. You will observe existing safety instructions in relation to the operation of the above equipment.A day in the life of a Boiler Assistant:Attend shift handover meetings.Check boiler water level.Monitor ash chute for ash blockages.Perform water treatment analysis.Clean air filters.Clean HFO filters.De-ash boilers.Monitor coal level and clean silo room.Clean combustion on boilers and air heaters.Soot blow air heater elements.Record daily water usage.Clean boiler house, compressor room, HFO room, ammonia plant, and fire pump house.Clean boiler house drainage.5S of the boiler house.What will make you successful:Matric with Maths.Minimum 2 years Technical Experience in boiler operation, utilities/service operation.We are Nestlé, the largest food and beverage company.
