Job Title: Blockman Location: (Addo) Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Blockman to join our team. The Blockman will be responsible for butchering and processing meats for sale to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meat cutting techniques, food safety regulations, and customer service. Key Responsibilities: - Cutting, boning, and trimming meats according to customer specifications - Operating and maintaining meat processing equipment - Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the meat processing area - Providing excellent customer service and answering any questions related to meat products - Following food safety regulations and guidelines in handling and storing meat products - Assisting in inventory management and restocking of meat products - Mentoring and training junior staff members in meat cutting techniques Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Blockman or similar role - Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and butchering methods - Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects Education and Certification: - High school diploma or equivalent - Certificate in meat cutting or butchery is preferred Salary: (R15000) If you meet the qualifications and are passionate about meat processing, we encourage you to apply for the role of Blockman.
