IntroductionWe are seeking to appoint a BI Developer (SAP SAC). The candidate will report into the Senior Business Analyst (IT) [Business Intelligence]. Please note this is an office-based role.
Job Purpose: To analyse user needs and develop, modify, document and test Data Warehouse & BI applications.
Key Performance Areas: To perform detailed analyses of data and present the information in a clear, tangible and consistent manner in order to measure operational performance against set objectives and identify improvement opportunities.To produce and schedule high-priority recurring and ad-hoc reports in order to address business concerns and enable initiatives.To perform programming and system analysis to correct errors, improve performance or create new BI & reporting functionality in line with BI & DWHS development standards.To liaise with users to clarify business requirements to correct errors, improve performance or create new functionality.To accurately document technical specifications in line with IT guidelines.To provide general application support and maintenance as and when required.To create and provide end user training.To test all programs changed or developed to ensure full functionality and to ensure no defects exist.To manipulate data for analysis and problem solving.Monitor and resolve ETL process and data integrity issues and ensure on-time distribution of the daily, monthly and year-end scorecards.Monitor BI license, user access, usage and manage license allocation.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.Skills: Ability to understand a customer's business needs and translate needs into IT specific requirements.Sound programming and technical skills (Desirably in SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud).Understand Basic SQL.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Good documentation skills.Ability to use own initiative.Strong determination and drive.Team player.Thoroughness.Logical thinker.Good numeric acumen.Ability to learn quickly and to share knowledge.Ability to liaise with users at all levels.Adapting and responding to change.Minimum Job Related Experience: 2-3 years' relevant data analytics experience with specific exposure to business reporting.2 years report development and data-driven solutions experience.Exposure to SAP SAC, SAP BI or other business intelligence software.Exposure to SQL.Desirable: 1-year business analysis experience.
