Main Purpose:
To provide support on all technical, operational quality, and training aspects of the group's aviation operations business at the regional level. To support Puma's license to operate by ensuring that the systems and processes are in place to maintain operational and quality standards in accordance with Puma Aviation Manuals through audits. To support the operational training needs at airport depots and terminals handling aviation fuels.

Product Quality:
Ensure that there is a product quality organization in each country, with Country Product Quality Officers and Site Product Quality Officers.
Implement appropriate systems to manage product quality throughout the supply and distribution chain.
Participate in the audit program of all airport depots to ensure compliance with Puma Aviation Manuals.
Participate in the audit program of midstream terminals handling aviation fuels to ensure compliance with Puma Aviation Manuals.
Participate in the audit program of laboratories used in testing aviation fuels in accordance with EI 1530 requirements.
Airport Operations: Management and Supervision:
Support operations in all airports to ensure activities are performed in accordance with Puma Aviation Manuals, including product receipt procedures, storage, product quality control, into-plane operations, hydrant systems operation, HSSE requirements, training, preventive maintenance programs, and continual assessments to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Assist in implementing Puma Aviation processes and standards throughout the region.
Assist in applying change management processes throughout the region.
Optimize efficiency and performance by guiding teams to focus on improving field staff abilities, finding root causes of problems, and implementing system-wide improvements.
Communicate and work to achieve individual and group expectations, organizing others to achieve superior customer service.
Incident prevention, investigation, and reporting are key responsibilities.
People Management:
Set high personal standards and lead by example to demonstrate commitment to operational excellence.
Assist depot managers in maintaining and promoting relationships between head office and the field.
Aviation Equipment - Standards and Engineering Assurance:
Ensure that equipment deployed in facilities is suitable for aviation service and that materials used in construction/fabrication are compatible with aviation fuels.
Ensure all equipment in depots is operationally fit for purpose and maintained as per aviation manual and/or manufacturer's requirements.
Quality and Operational Assurance:
Perform quality and operational audits using the Puma Aviation checklist (incorporating JIG standards) of aviation depots, midstream terminals, and refineries handling aviation fuels in the region's supply chain.
Perform spot checks on critical equipment such as firefighting systems and generator performance to ensure business continuity.
Assist with closing out recommendations from previous audits, including Aviation JIG Audits, IFQP audits, and Puma internal audits (Geneva).
HSSE Support:
Ensure that Puma HSSE and SAPS requirements are implemented in airport depot operations, liaising with regional HSSE Managers.
Ensure an adequate work permit system is in place at all locations.
Cost Management:
Partner with local airport depot and terminal managers to maximize value from aviation operations through improved efficiency and cost reduction by adopting best practices.
Training:
Conduct training programs for aviation staff at airport depots and midstream terminals handling aviation fuels.
Ensure that confirmation of training documents (COTs) are signed off and retained on file in accordance with SOPs.
General:
Assist regional and global aviation in special projects as required.
Assist in the development of concession/throughput agreements as required.
Requirements and Experience:
A formal qualification in engineering is desired or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation fueling industry in a maintenance, design, or operational capacity.
2 years of experience in aviation or midstream terminals.
Hands-on experience working with HSSE systems.
Skills:
Fluent in English; an additional language is advantageous.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
Advanced knowledge of aviation fuel requirements covering supply, depot, and into-plane operations.
Good knowledge of international codes and standards applicable to the petroleum industry.

Internal: Regional Aviation Operations and Commercial Managers, Regional General Managers, Regional HSSE Managers, Regional Midstream Operations Managers, Regional Logistics, HR, and Construction teams.
External: Airport Authorities, Aviation equipment vendors, contractors, and consultants.
