POST: Assistant Welding Facilitator
SALARY: R 183 279 plus 37% in lieu of benefits
DURATION: 3 Years fixed term contract

Requirements: A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in welding.Training or Facilitation Skills are essential, with an ability to manage portfolios of evidence and learning assessment.Assessor and Moderator with NAMB/SETA registration is an advantage.Being NAMB registered as a trade testing official is also an added advantage.Duties and Responsibilities: Training Facilitation: You will be responsible for planning and administering all training processes, ensuring that they align with industry standards and the NQF framework.Learner Engagement: Facilitate welding skills training for unemployed youth with varied abilities, helping them develop key skills and understanding of the welding industry.Workshop Management: Create and manage a simulated workshop environment where learners can practice their welding techniques in a safe and structured setting.Assessment Preparation: You will prepare, review, and administer assessments, helping learners develop portfolios of learning evidence.Monitoring and Evaluation: Conduct site visits to companies where learners are placed to complete monitoring reports, ensuring that they are gaining relevant workplace experience.Tool and Equipment Management: Maintain and manage workshop tools and equipment, including conducting risk assessments and procurement.Desired Skills and Personal Qualities: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical content both verbally and in writing.A friendly and approachable demeanour, with a strong sense of professionalism and teamwork.The ability to relate knowledge to everyday situations in a practical and accessible way.Versatility in teaching methods, with the ability to tailor lessons for a variety of learners.Tshwane North College for Technical and Vocational Education and Training invites suitably qualified, innovative, result-oriented, and self-driven candidates to apply for their three years fixed term contract positions according to the CET ACT no. 16 of 2006 as amended.
