We mine, process, move and market the essential ingredients that enable a cleaner, more connected world and that meet fast growing consumer-driven demands for products from smartphones to electric cars.Job DescriptionKey responsibilities of this role are:Attend and conduct Safety meetingsConduct and participate in Risk assessmentsAllocate tasks to subordinatesAttend to Breakdowns and emergencies as requiredEnsure that material, spares and equipment are available as requiredEnsure proper and adequate on-the-job training and coaching is provided to subordinatesComply with environmental requirementsExercise judgment regarding the replacement of componentsMaintain a high quality of workProvide timely and accurate informationRecord results of all legal examinations in the appropriate formatWork in a sequence that prioritizes work requirementsComplete job cards and descriptions of work and spares used (PM's)Perform work to the required standards and specificationsThis role is in the engineering department at a C2 level reporting to the Coordinator Engineering.QualificationsGrade 12N2 Engineering studies certificateDiesel Mechanic Technical Trade certificate - (section 13 or 26D)ExperienceMinimum 3 years underground experience post trade qualificationHardrock mining experience would be advantageousExperience working with GHH 4.4, LHDs, GHH UVs, Toyota LDVs will be advantageousAdditional RequirementsBasic Computer SkillsCommunication skillsMust be able to do standbyMust be familiar with risk assessment proceduresValid driving license code 08 and own car preferredIf successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness TestHow to ApplyTo apply for this role, please complete our online application.
