We have a dynamic opportunity for an Experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager on a Wine farm between Stellenbosch and Somerset West.The ideal individual must have a strong operational skill set, level of attention to detail, ability to lead and manage a team effectively, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum of 4 years' experience managing a restaurant.You will need to lead FOH staff in a fast-paced restaurant environment to ensure a seamless culinary experience for our guests.Manages FOH staff which includes scheduling, training, and general supervision.You'll oversee the restaurant & venue, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity.We'll expect you to lead by example to uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment.Requirements and Experience:Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage manager, Hospitality Manager or similar roleProven customer service experience as a managerExtensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and waitering staffStrong leadership, motivational and people skillsFinancial management skillsExcellent wine knowledgeTraining and staff performance management abilityConfident and excellent communication skillsHands-on approach to F&B operationsGuest and service centric approachAble to work flexible hours including weekends, public holidays and some evening functionsExcellent interpersonal- & communication skillsFlexibility, adaptabilityPassion for the hospitality industryOwn vehicle and valid driver's licenseRemuneration: (Relating to experience)Job Type: Seasonal work, Part-timeExperience:Restaurant management: 1 year (Preferred)
