Assistant Manager: RU Sports (Grade 13) Division of Student Services and Development The division of Student Services and Development is seeking suitably qualified candidates to join their team.
Main Objectives To assist and support the Head of Sport in driving and executing sport at Rhodes University. Responsible for providing support to the Head of Sport as well as managing the day-to-day operations within the department.
The Requirements A relevant NQF Level 7 qualification plus 6 years' relevant working experience where such experience includes:
At least 2 to 4 years' relevant working experience within an education/service-oriented environment in sport and a high level of interaction with studentsPrevious supervision/management experienceExperience in administering & organizing sport at club/tertiary and/or provincial and/or national levelPrevious experience in playing sport and/or a demonstrated ongoing interest in sportPrevious experience in organizing sporting events/tournamentsBasic computer literacy; word-processing, spreadsheets, email and internetDriver's License Code: EB or code 8Application Process It is essential that prospective candidates read the job profile for further information and ensure that all relevant documentation is submitted.
