Assistant Manager (Grade 13)Infrastructure and OperationsThe Department of Infrastructure and Operations invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.Main ObjectivesTo provide specialist technical, administrative, and operational support to the Manager of the Grounds & Gardens Section.The RequirementsA relevant tertiary qualification (at least an NQF level 6) in related fields of Horticulture, Landscape Technology, Parks & Recreation Management, Building Construction, or Management Diploma/Degree plus approximately 4 years of relevant experience, which includes:Previous experience in a large public parks and gardens or horticultural services unit.Previous supervision and/or management experience (at least 3 years).Project management experience would be an advantage.A valid Code B Drivers' License.Application ProcessIt is essential that prospective candidates read the job profile for further information and ensure that all relevant documentation is submitted.The Following Documents Are RequiredA comprehensive CV and relevant qualifications which should include:Reasons for leaving your current and previous jobs.Referees who are/were your direct line manager, their title, name, designation, and contact information (at least their contact number and email address).A strong and succinct motivation which tells us your interest in the post and suitability relative to the job requirements.Please note, no hand-written applications will be considered. This post is advertised as a permanent post, but the University may opt to appoint on a fixed-term contract of not less than three years.
