A venue located on the West Coast is looking for an Assistant Manager. Situated between a nature reserve and a beach, they offer accommodation facilities, a restaurant, a venue for weddings and events
Minimum Requirements: Grade 12A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in a management role in a similar venue, Restaurant and Accommodation environmentStrong customer relations experienceStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsFinancial acumen and experience in budgeting and cost controlCreative problem-solving skills and attention to detailOrganised and systematicPatient, motivated, and confidentExcellent communication skillsMust be able to work under pressure, with no supervisionMust be able to work independently as part of a larger team Duties and Responsibilities: Overseeing daily operations of the restaurant, hotel, and event venueManaging and training a team of staff to ensure exceptional serviceMaintaining high standards of customer service and quality controlManaging budgets and optimizing profitabilityDeveloping marketing strategies to promote the venueOverseeing all events and activitiesMonitor tasks of personnel and workersSet goals and plans for each employeeMake sure events are well-organizedHandle client complaintsBe able to think out of the box for problem solvingEnsure guest satisfaction throughout the property, events, and restaurantMaintenance of venue - Be able to make small minor repairs if neededInspect and document repairs and cleanliness of the property to ensure optimum upkeep and repair, room cleanliness, and overall property appearanceMonitor monthly inventory of supplies and equipmentWeekly stock take checksOversee planning of special eventsEnsure property is safe and lockedEnsure that all stock at the bar is accounted for
