Position: Assistant General ManagerLocation: Balgowan, KZNSalary: Up to R30,000 per month (Gross)Accommodation: Provided (Live-in)
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring seamless functioning across all departments.
Staff Management: Guide, mentor, and support Heads of Departments, overseeing team performance and maintaining high standards.
Guest Relations: Serve as a point of reference for guests, address complaints, and ensure exceptional service.
Financial Management: Assist in budget control, manage expenditure, and enhance revenue opportunities.
Administrative Duties: Maintain operational schedules, oversee bookings, and ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
Emergency Support: Provide assistance in emergency situations, including maintenance and safety operations.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Experience: Minimum of 4-star hotel experience with at least 3 years in a similar role.
Qualifications: A college diploma in tourism or business management is advantageous.
Skills: Strong human resource management, financial acumen, and customer service skills. Proficiency in Micros POS, Opera PMS, and MS Office required.
Personal Attributes: Professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment. Physical fitness and attention to detail are crucial.
Accommodation Details:
Provided On-Site: Comfortable single accommodation with lounge, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, and en-suite bathroom.
Deductions: Monthly housekeeping rental of R650.00; electricity based on usage.
Work Schedule:
Shifts: Includes Duty Manager shifts, with 6 days off every 4 weeks and 18 days annual leave per year.
