Details of the offer

The candidate must have the following attributes:

Must have successfully completed his Trade Test and must be in possession of a valid Red Seal Certificate.
A Wireman's License would be an advantage to the ideal candidate.
Must be a team player and be able to comply with unit and department policy and procedures at all times.
Must have adequate knowledge of the electrical and water reticulation in hotels and must ensure well maintained electrical, water and air-conditioning systems.
Provide proper record keeping of all services.
Perform basic accounting for the department, including procurement of materials and budgeting.
Quality control.
To ensure training for his subordinates.
Oversee repairs to all equipment.
Ensure that all radio, T.V. and fire detection systems are operational.
Assist and/or oversee all other relevant trades including building, gas, painting, plumbing, carpentry and carpet laying.
Oversee the maintenance of the garden.
Ensure proper discipline and timekeeping of all subordinates.
Ensure proper communication between staff and Management.
Due to the nature of the job, you will be expected to assist after hours if the need exists.
Implement and oversee preventative maintenance procedures in all areas of the facility.
Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections and record them. Hands-on approach to any maintenance issues.
Must be able to perform repairs to faulty equipment.
Will be required to perform any other task given by management.
Must have complete knowledge of hotel facilities available to customers.
At all times attend timeously and courteously to calls from guests and colleagues.
Ensure that the work area is kept clean and maintained.
Only SA Citizens will be considered.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From R20000,00 per month

Education:

Certificate (Required)

Experience:

Plumbing: 1 year (Required)
Facilities Management: 2 years (Required)
Electrician: 2 years (Required)
Maintenance Manager or Assistant Manager: 3 years (Required)

Language:

Fluent English (Required)

License/Certification:

Wireman's License (Preferred)
Trade Test Certificate with Red Seal? (Required)
