Assistant Catering Manager

Our client is seeing an experienced Assistant Catering Manager to join the Grahamstown team, Lead and motivate a team of catering staff, Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing and cohesive team. Plan and coordinate catering services for a variety of events, Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences. Create and update diverse menus that cater to different tastes, dietary restrictions, and cultural preferences. Work closely with chefs to ensure the highest quality of food and presentation. Develop and manage catering budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability. Monitor expenses, negotiate supplier contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings. Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure the consistency and excellence of catering services. Conduct regular inspections and evaluations to uphold hygiene and safety standards. Requirements Grade 12 Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred, Minimum 2 years' relevant experience Valid drivers license Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
