Assistant Accountant

THE JOB AT A GLANCE:You will perform various tasks to support the financial accountants, including, but not limited to, processing manual journals, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and financial reporting.ResponsibilitiesWHAT YOU WILL DO:Prepare and post financial journal processingPrepare month-end GL reconciliationsPrepare GL site YE packs, including the analysis of income and expense accounts for tax pack purposesAnswer queries, provide information, explanations, and help as requiredWhat You Will Be Measured OnAchieve accurate and complete GL closure on time for reviewAchieve clean GL account reconciliationsAchieve limited tax queries on submission of corporate tax packAchievement of all submissions on/before set deadlinesAvoid/limit audit findingsQualificationsESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Relevant qualification in accounting2+ years total experience with 1-2 years accounting and administrative experienceExperience in FMCG would be an added advantageAbout UsTiger Brands is proudly Africa's largest listed manufacturers of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
