Assistant Accountant ( 3 Month Contract)

We are looking for a skilled Assistant Accountant to join our team on a 3-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. If you have a passion for accounting, specialize in debit and credit, and are experienced with SAP, this could be the perfect role for you!Position: Assistant AccountantContract: 3 months (with the potential to become permanent)Salary: R 30 000 per monthLocation: Cape TownKey Responsibilities:Manage debit and credit transactions to ensure financial accuracy.Assist with month-end financial closing and reporting activities.Maintain general ledger and ensure it is accurate and up to date.Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and supplier invoices.Assist with financial audits, preparing necessary reports and documentation.Work with SAP for day-to-day financial tasks and reporting.Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure compliance with company policies.Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.Requirements:Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar role.BCom Accounting degree (essential).Strong knowledge of debit and credit accounting principles.Proficiency in SAP is essential.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred.
