About this RoleThe Asset Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Asset Manager. The focus will be on financial modelling and forecasting. The Asset Analyst will support the Asset Manager in the daily management of all commercial, contractual, technical, regulatory, and reporting obligations across the operational projects within Mulilo's portfolio.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinancial model updating and analysis – Update financial models to assess trends, forecast performance & analyze project performance.Use tools like Excel, Tableau, and PowerBI to analyze and visualize data and provide management recommendations.Manage dashboards to track real-time financial and operational performance.Make recommendations to the Asset Management Team using data analytics.Create presentations and perform ad-hoc analysis.Lenders Relationship Management – Calculate and monitor debt covenants and other key financial metrics per financial forecasts.Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports using data analytics and dashboards.Understand and ensure all project activities are aligned to project financing agreements, including the monitoring, analysis, and assessment of all payments of the plant against the financial model and approved budgets.Manage the delivery tracker for projects and board pack collation for board meetings.Assist with coordinating board meetings and following up on action items.Accounting & Revenue Management.Required Skills and Education BackgroundUniversity Degree in Finance, Business Science, or similar.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Power BI will be beneficial).3 years working experience in related fields such as Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Modelling, Project Finance.Experience in the renewable energy industry.Knowledge and experience in the operations of utility scale PV and wind facilities.Strong analytical skills, strategic and problem-solving ability.The ideal candidate would have a passion for the Renewable Energy sector, with personality traits including a high level of diligence, determination, resilience, and agility.
