Plan: Create 2D and 3D plans using design software, and prepare a timeline and budget for the project. Must be able to use REVIT and CADD. Select: Help clients choose appliances, cabinets, countertops, flooring, colors, and finishes. Source: Source and oversee independent contractors, such as plumbers and cabinet makers. Install: Oversee installation work, track progress, and ensure quality. Communicate: Inform clients about how to care for their new kitchen, and keep detailed records of hours and activities. Stay current: Keep up to date with design trends and products. Kitchen designers will work in a commercial and industrial settings, including restaurants, hospitals, canteens, and cafeterias.
