Job Purpose: To plan, drive and execute sales growth in the Agricultural business sector. To achieve sales growth at acceptable margin targets from existing customers and to win new business in the Agri sector. To create and strengthen long-term customer relationships to position the Client as the leading supplier of paper products into the SA Agri sector.
Qualifications & Experience: A thorough knowledge of the SA and international grape market and a network of people in the SA grape sector would be an advantage.The ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships at both senior and operational levels.An understanding of paper bag manufacturing and industrial packaging is an advantage.A customer and service obsession.Be able to work alone and decisive enough to take decisions.Results driven with strong organizational, system and administration skills.Tenacity and determination to find and deliver solutions to our customers.A good sense for figures and proficient on Excel.The ability to work and function as part of a team.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).A good command of both English and Afrikaans.Perseverance and persistence to drive through to achieve outcomes.Highest level of personal integrity, clear history of leading by example and setting consistently high standards for others to emulate.Key Responsibilities: Achieve sales growth, at required margins, in line with the Client's bag strategy.Maintain relationships with South African packers and agents and grow the sales of paper Agri bags into these sectors.Expand the SA Agri bags business to new customers including the Northern Cape and other regions.Establish the Client as a trusted supplier of choice in the SA market.Interact with international retailers and Europe team to establish paper bags as a product of choice for Agri packaging.Form relationships and get orders for paper Agri bags to supply international distributors of Agri bags, both for packing in South Africa and for export to other countries, as agreed with Detmold.Customer Service: Understand and work within the Client's capability to meet promised customer order fulfilment and service levels.Work with the Client operations and management teams to develop and implement a business operation and capacity that promotes year-long manufacture.Establish and maintain clear and structured customer service agreements that enable the Client to effectively meet customer requirements.
