RevenueBasic salary: R 478 299 PER ANNUM(Applicants who previously applied to FIN 62/24, need not to re-apply.)Requirements:National Diploma in Finance or Public Administration.5 – 8 years' experience in a revenue environment, with at least 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity.Extensive knowledge, understanding, and application of relevant Local Government legislation, By-laws, and policies.A good understanding of debt collection processes.Good knowledge of business processes and practices.Computer proficiency with in-depth application and knowledge of SAP, CRM, and MS applications.Advanced MS-Excel will be an advantage.Code B Driver's license.Key Performance Areas:Coordinate the customer interface and administrative functions associated with debt collection of special accounts (Large Accounts, SOE, Government, and Staff & Councillor Arrears).Effectively lead a team on debt collection methods whilst performing a broad range of administrative procedures.Identifying and updating categories of debtor arrears to ensure that they are advised of the status of their outstanding municipal accounts and payments.Implementing payment arrangements and debit orders in consultation with various internal stakeholders and prospective debtors.Investigating and monitoring HR clearance requests in case of employees that exit the organization on their outstanding municipal accounts.Facilitate legislative compliance to procedures and implementation processes of policies.Investigating and responding to complaints received from various clients including staff and councillors, providing and/or checking information to support feedback to the complainant.Produce weekly/monthly statistics on timesheets, capture leave applications for recommendation, and maintain registers and records.Making available to internal audit information and supporting documentation to validate transactional recordings.Facilitate departmental technical support and functional activities.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of workflow processes for improvement.Identify and update training initiatives and development of staff.Coordinate and facilitate staff functions, resources, and related placements.Please apply online at www.capetown.gov.za/careers (external applicants) or via the SAP Portal (internal applicants), unless otherwise stated.By submitting your application for a position at the City of Cape Town, you are consenting to the use of your personal information provided as part of your application and/or recruitment process for recruitment and selection purposes.
