The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology (LMP) integrates basic biomedical science with clinical practice, comprising over 400 investigators, scientists, and clinicians dedicated to advancing health outcomes.Your opportunity:The Temerty Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research and Education in Medicine (T-CAIREM) is a collaborative hub for computer scientists, healthcare providers, and researchers to advance health through machine learning.
T-CAIREM aims to be a leader in educational offerings and research collaborations at the intersection of AI and health.As Administrative Assistant, T-CAIREM, you will:Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries related to our Centre, coordinate activities and logistics for initiatives and events, and support the leadership team in advancing our Centre's priorities.Your responsibilities will include:Acting as first point of contact for inquiries related to Centre initiativesCoordinating activities, events, and workshop logisticsPreparing and editing correspondence, grant applications, and promotional materialsScheduling appointments and coordinating travel arrangementsCoordinating meetings and supporting committees, including booking rooms and taking minutesEssential Qualifications:Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or equivalent experienceMinimum three years related experience in an academic or healthcare environmentExperience providing front line administrative supportExperience coordinating events and workshopsExperience scheduling appointments and coordinating travel arrangementsExperience drafting and editing correspondence and grant applicationsExperience maintaining websites and social media platformsExperience handling program expenses and processing financial transactionsProficiency with MS Office Suite and financial information systemsStrong customer service orientation and interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projectsAbility to work independently and cooperativelyProven effectiveness in relating to faculty, staff, and studentsAssets (Nonessential):Proficiency with graphic design software (Adobe CS)To be successful in this role you will be:ApproachableOrganizedThis is a term position until August 2026.Closing Date: 01/14/2025, 11:59PM ETEmployee Group: USWAppointment Type: Budget - TermSchedule: Full-TimePay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 09 -- $66,715 to $85,319, subject to job evaluation protocols.Job Category: Administrative / ManagerialRecruiter: Amanda KrmekLived Experience Statement:Candidates from diverse communities are encouraged to apply, and their lived experience will be considered.Diversity Statement:The University of Toronto embraces diversity and is committed to building a culture of belonging.
